Desert Wind Private Guest and Game Farm is situated in The Klein Karoo (Little Karoo) between majestic mountains, treeless plains and spectacular landscapes. The area features quaint wine producing and fruit growing towns, towering cliffs, clear, crisp rivers and zig-zagging passes. Our farm runs on solar power and gas energy.

Gemsbok House - Desert Wind caters superbly for families or large groups of friends. The large guest house can accommodate 10 people in the 3 rooms. The house is generous in size and has beautiful tile floors, stone work and a jacuzzi.

Eland House - This open plan en-suite guesthouse consists of 1 double bed & 2 single beds, a fireplace, fully stocked kitchenette and lounge area. The “house” is connected to the Gemsbok House via a passage and can be incorporated into the house as an additional room to sleep 14 in total.

Die “Kliphuis” is a quaint little cottage built out of the river rocks of Desert Wind and is ideal for the honeymoon couple. The cottage can accommodate 4 people. The house is equipped with a double bed and a double daybed. There is an inside and outside braai that overlooks the river and natural rock pool.

Springbok Suite - Our two semi detached king suites are suited to couples looking for a quiet romantic retreat. The suites – located next to the boma – offer stunning mountain and bush views. Luxuriously decorated, each has a kitchenette, king size bed and an en suite bathroom with a shower and toilet.
