In summer chill on a lounger at the pool or sit on the deck and enjoy stunning sunsets, red and orange to the West behind the Riviersonderend mountains and reflecting pinks and blues of the Langberg to the East. There is an exceptionally beautiful lawned garden all round with a riot of flowers in summer like fox gloves, holly hocks, star jasmine, delphiniums, roses etc. Trees include wild fig, a massive vine tree, genoa fig, quinces, lemons, limes, oranges, grapefruit, etc.
 
Enjoy walking or cycling on country roads through vineyards, orchards and the foothills of the Langeberg. There are a numberof good restaurants in the area, at least two within walking distance and a wine cellar 100m across the road.
